CCT October 17, 2026 Meeting Minutes

October 30 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Mike called the meeting to order. 26 present. No guests.

Mitch gave a Treasurer’s report. Reminder we are accepting nominations for a treasurer and will have a vote in Dec. Mitch is leaving the role eff. 12/31/2026. (To date no nominations have been rec’d.)

Membership for calendar year 2027 was the focus of this meeting as we always talk membership in Oct. CCT board voted to waive CCT dues for renewing CCT members and encouraged membership in NCCC which provides our club insurance and requires a certain level of participation. New members will pay CCT and NCCC dues in 2027. I (Debbie) am reaching out to individuals who were not at the meeting (by email, text, mail and calls) to try to ensure everyone knows the renewal info and the deadline of 11/14. All data will be turned in to Paul for NCCC filing to meet their deadline. Funds will be given to Mitch for deposit. Rosters will be available at the Christmas party.

Richard announced he is looking into an outing with lunch for Sat. 11/21in Royse City. More info coming.

Start time is 10:00 AM – Cowtown Vettes is hosting their 24th annual car show at Streetside Classics in Fort Worth. Attend the car show to support Paul and meet members of Cowtown Vettes which partners with CCT for our race sanctions. The show starts at 10. You can arrive when you want to. At noon, CCT members will leave to go just a few miles up the road to have lunch at Shady Oak BBQ and Grill. Address: 6364 Sandshell Dr. Fort Worth.

Dec 19th Christmas Party – separate flyer

At the board meeting prior to the general meeting, Paul Wolter made a motion to send a $500 check to Gill Children’s Services from CCT funds. Board approved.(This year we are not adopting children for gifts or collecting items to take to Gill.) Funds from raffle ticket sales at the Christmas party will be deposited into the CCT bank account and at our January meeting there will be discussion around what organizations we will donate CCT funds to in 2027 and especially including a place(s) we can go to as a group and take funds as we did with Operation Kindness this year and Ronald McDonald House many years ago.
